Cluses UMVA
Cluses First Aid Center (UMVA) is a center recognized by the Regional Health Agence (ARS) set up in 2013 to preserve an emergency reception structure within the Clusian basin and the Vallée de l’Arve.
The independent center, created by the local medical team aims to welcome patients suffering form acute traumatic and medical pathologies.
Having changed its name several times, the UMVA has over 20 years of experience. First named “Clinique de l’Espérance“, then “Clinique de Cluses“, then “Clinique du Mont Blanc” and finally “Clinique des Grandes Alpes“, it adopted the name of UMVA in 2013.
The UMVA welcomes patients from the Arve Valley, the mountains and the surrounding ski resorts.
The privileged geographical location makes it possible to relieve the emergencies of the surrounding hospitals (in mostly those of Sallanches and Annemasse), in particular during the winter season, by welcoming the ski accident victims.
Its establishment in the industrial area of bar turning has gradually enabled the medical team to specialize in the management of work accidents.
For these, we are particularly willing to take care of hand wounds, in partnership with the Lemanic Center of the hand of the private hospital of the countries of Savoy.
The medical team
We are a multidisciplinary team led by 5 emergency doctor specialized and experienced in trauma and medical emergencies and 6 nurses trained in emergency medicine.
We are able to accommodate trauma and medical emergencies from 8 am. to 10 pm. every day, including Sundays and holidays.
We work in collaboration with the radiology department equipped with a scanner, in order to manage various traumas, without having to handle the patient too many times.
We are also specialized in the treatment of sportsmen’s pathologies due to our proximity to the surrounding mountain sports stations.
We also have the possibility to carry out biological analyzes, via the Mirialis medical analysis laboratory located in Cluses for medical emergencies.
